Can you often see many stars based on where you live (not weather)?

I live in the middle of a forest and as such the air is very clear (there are also no streetlights closer than 2 kilometres form our house), so I'm pretty good :D
Only thing is, here in Finland the summer nights are so light you can't see stars at all sometimes - but boy, when it's fall or winter...

Sometimes when I get home late at night, I just stare dumbstruck up at the sky - it is so beautiful :)
